Danger of Anger

Fraternal Twins...Grace and Mercy

Be Empowered by Today's Nugget...Grace and Mercy are like fraternal twins who came out of the same wound, but unlike identical twins, do not look alike or even sound alike. When your rent is due TODAY by 5pm and you're short $200, GRACE has a way of showing up at about 4pm to say "God just put it on my heart to drop off $200 to you." When you get pulled over because you were driving 65mph in a 45mph zone, MERCY has a way of suddenly showing up to say, "Even though you deserve a ticket, I'll just give you a warning this time."  Therefore, never take your relationship with Grace and Mercy for granted...like close friends, they show up when needed the most! #graceandmercy, #drbnugget

The Cure for Pride & Self-Pity

Be Empowered by Today's Nugget...PRIDE and SELF-PITY are two ungodly spirits that oppose each other. Pride compares itself to those who have LESS by saying things like, "That guy should just go get a job instead of begging on the corner!" Self-Pity compares itself to those who have MORE by saying something like, "I wish I could live in a big house like so and so." Pride EXALTS itself while Self-Pity DEMEANS itself. Success vs. Greatness

Be Empowered by Today's Nugget...Achieving "success" means accomplishing goals in order to make YOUR life better. While being successful is a good thing, the focus is "all about you." But achieving "greatness" is way more important because it means living your life in order to make SOMEONE ELSE'S life better. For example, by worldly standards, having a Mercedes to drive is SUCCESS. But, by Godly standards, having the mercy and love to drive senior citizens around to take care of their business is GREATNESS.
